According to WebDa Markazi report, Governor General of Markazi in this ceremony considered the opening of first mega ICU of Markazi province in Ayatollah Khansari hospital of Arak as another worthy action of Arak University of Medical Sciences and said" With addition of 20 special beds, 30% was added to the beds and although we hope do not use these beds and other purchased equipment such as ventilators, etc., but we are obliged to upgrade services and update equipment in this area".
Seyyed Ali Aghazadeh stated that the need for beds and manpower and equipment was felt that with the spread of corona, this feeling of need became more and more apparent that with the efforts and plans made in the future, we will achieve acceptable developments.
In the end, he thanked the Health and medical staff for their efforts in dealing with corona virus and called on people to observe Health issue and protocols communicated by biological defense base.
Arak University of Medical Sciences chancellor also said at the ceremony" With the addition of 20 special beds to Ayatollah Khansari Hospital in Arak, the first mega ICU of Markazi province was officially opened and put into operation".
He pointed out that the number of special beds in Arak increased to 85 beds with addition of these beds, he said" We plan to reach 120 special beds in Arak and add about 20 beds in cities with the necessary infrastructure, and we hope to achieve this as soon as possible".
Dr. Jamaliyan said that we prepare 3 mega ICUs, each with a capacity of 20 beds, so that in the coming months, when the second wave of coronavirus outbreaks begins, we will have no problem providing services to our fellow human beings.
In the end, he emphasized" Due to existing infrastructure in the center of province, most of these beds will be located in Arak city and Ayatollah Khansari, Amir Al-Momenin (A.s) hospitals and most likely Amirkabir hospitals and some will be taken to Mahallat, Delijan, Tafresh and Farahan cities".
It should be noted that according to international standards, 30% of the capacity of each hospital should be special beds, but in many medical centers in European and Arab countries in the Persian Gulf, which have good financial ability, this important goal has not been achieved.
